My faith is dwindling. My faith in America, in general? It's dwindling. In fact, I'm outraged. Outraged, dammit!

How? How can 70% of an audience possibly think that Dat Phan is funnier than Dave Mordall? How?! I demand to know!

Yes, yes. If you know what I'm talking about so far, you know that I'm officially hooked on NBC's Last Comic Standing. Have been since the first night it aired.

Last Comic Standing? Basically, they launched a nationwide search for the funniest unsigned comics in America and the top 10 were all ported to LA to live with each other in a swanky house. Each week ends in a comic face off. A bruhaha, if you will. A slam down drag out fight to the death. One comic vs. another comic -- in front of a live audience. The audience votes and the best comic stays. That's it. They film it all up, edit it all up and give it all up to us in a nice little TeeVee show. Plus it's hosted by Jay Mohr, who rocks. My Tuesday nights will never be the same again. You know, at least until the show ends at the end of this month. At that time, I think my Tuesday nights will be exactly the same. Thought I'd clear that up.

Anyway, Dave Mordall (his website) should have won this competition -- or at least been in the top 2. He's a funny funny funny man and he's from Minnesota -- just like me! I'll miss him on the show, although I think I'll keep watching to see who wins -- I'm too invested to pull out now! Just. Can't. Leave.

So, in order to get my Dave Mordall fix, I snapped up 2 tickets to his only show in Minnesota this year. It's November 2nd at the Historic Orpheum Theatre -- along with Emo Phillips! Kickass! Hey Eric, where are the seats? Balcony... First row. Don't say I never learn any lessons, people!
