Just So You Know...

Tuesday, January 28, 2003

Just so you know, Clone High, MTV's new cartoon series, is damn near brilliant. That's right. Damn. Near. Brilliant. You should go out of your way to watch it. Really.

Just so you know, Lins and I went to the TWolves game last night. The game's big to-do? Kevin Garnett Celebriduck night. So, of course, Lindsay and I missed out on it. We were somehow not among the first 7500 fans in attendance. Yeah. Right. I firmly and fully blame Lindsay. She took her sweet little cute time getting ready to leave for the game. No Celebriduck to caress, keep me company at work, take baths with or sell on eBay. Double damn.

Speaking of the game last night, I would like to talk about David Jones and his horrible officiating. Basically, I just wanted to name drop, so that anyone that searches for this official's name can see that he has a history of ineptitude. Call after blown call after blown call. I think he just started guessing after awhile. He was awful. He was horrible. He should not be an NBA ref. Alright. Now I feel better.

Just so you know, it snowed a lot last night. I'm already tired of shoveling.

Just so you know, (oh yeah there's this) Lindsay and I are basically okay, you know, still recovering as a whole from the "getting hit by a Suburban while on foot" thing. We're okay. All that. Big big thanks to everyone for letting us know they care.

Just so you know, the cop that is "working" our case is an apathetic insesitive asshole of a mothefucker wrapped up inside a police uniform. Our case will never go anywhere thanks to him. Justice? Nah, hitting people with your 1/2 to 3/4 ton SUV and then leaving the scene? No biggie, don't worry about it.

Seriously, though, I'm aghast that someone could do that and not get arrested on the spot. You know, or shortly thereafter. It doesn't seem like the kind of scenario where form letters are being sent back and forth. The horror!

Just so you know, Oscar and Bailey got in a bad fight Saturday night. Bad dog fights always always always suck. Lindsay and I can never ever ever never actually say that they are doing anything other than "really trying to get along" otherwise it will jinx it and they'll get in a fight. We said they were doing G-O-O-D Friday night... The next night? Yeah, try pulling 2 terriers off each other and let me know how G-O-O-D that is. It's not F-U-N, I'll tell you that much.

Just so you know, I really want to get to a theatre to see Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. Looks terrific. Written by Charlie Kaufmann, starring Sam Rockwell of Galaxy Quest fame (He played Guy: Crewman #7, I think), and executive produced by Steven Soderbergh!? I'm so there! Ross says it's good, too, so maybe you should go see it...

Lastly, just so you know, I'm going to be involved in an online photo exhibition soon. I'm submitting a yet-to-be-determined series at the end of this month... I'll post the link for the exhibition as soon as it launches. Thought I'd give you a heads up first. I just love you that much.

I'm shuddering in fear of Bush's State of the Union -- alternately titled Operation Enduring War Against People My Dad Doesn't Like speech tonight. Shuddering. Drink lots of alcohol to numb the pain, people. Lots!

Love you,
Eric
