Stuff and Nonsense

Wednesday, September 25, 2002

I had a dream last night that Lindsay and I were sailing into Thailand.

There were these crazy beautiful buildings in the water. Big Orange domes. Very crisp and gaudy but restrained. It was the most beautiful thing. I wanted to take pictures, but Lindsay had my camera in her purse and she had checked her purse with the luggage loaders for some reason. No biggie. We hugged and floated into this incredible city. That's all I remember about that part.

Later, in the same dream, I bought a beer from a guy that was in our group. He was a pseudo vendor, selling beers out of his cooler. I paid with a $5 bill. He gave me back a $1 and a $100, and I think the $100 was intentional. I said "Um, dude, you gave me a $100 bill by accident." He was very thankful as I gave the money back.

Later on, at another vendor, I recieved another $100 bill with change, by accident, and I gave it back again.

We were in Thailand, but the money was all US Currency.

So Lindsay had my camera and I couldn't use it and I could have racked up $200 extra US Dollars, but chose the moral route.

I wonder what all that means.
Yesterday was Lindsay and my 8 year anniversary. Yum.

8 years. I can't imagine my life without her and I don't even want to. She helps me to be a better person and I love her more than all the birds in the sky and all the fishes in sea.

Whoah. When I start quoting Anna Nicole Smith is when I get a little worried.

Yes, I'm sober right now.

We went out to dinner at Jazzmines. Good times, yummy food. Live jazz. I didn't take any photos because... my camera was in Lindsay's purse and I didn't feel like asking for it. Hee. Dream on it!
Monday, instead of work, Lins and I went to a Photoshop conference at the Thunderbird Hotel in Bloomington, MN. Hence all the Thunderbird photos on the Photo Project.

I went in with low expectations, having heard from one of my bosses that he'd heard bad things about this particular seminar.

Actually, one of the instructors was very good. Very advanced. I was in his class most of the day, and I picked up a few new techniques and nice keyboard shortcuts that will make my life easier. Yay for that.

Midway through the seminar, there was an hour and 20 minute break for lunch. We jetted over to the Mall of America and hit up the California Cafe. Woot woo. It was niiice. The food was really good (and plentiful as a mofo) and the tiramisu was... yum. 8/10. We found another 8/10, y'all! It's not quite up on the tiramisu project yet, but I'll get it up there soon.

Yum.
Well, that's all I have for now. Chicago, Part 6 should pop up soon. Sorry I've been silent for a couple weeks. I'll try not to do that again. Hee.

Bye now!
