Sweet Caroline

I am totally sad now. The best reason to stay home and watch TV on Saturday nights will soon be leaving us.

Yes, friends, sadly -- very sadly -- Will Ferrell is leaving SNL. It's a very sad thing, indeed.

I love love love Will Ferrell. He is so damn funny. I mean, how many totally screwed up SNL sketches is he solely responsible for? How many times has he been in a skit wearing something that is absolutely hideous? His Janet Reno impression rocked the very foundation of my life. Not really, but you get the gist.

Hopefully on May 18, his last night as a featured player on SNL, he goes out with a huge bang. Some really screwed up sketches or something like that. Something BIG. *Fingers Crossed*

While it is sad to see him leave the cast, I hope he does find success with movies. Hopefully he'll sit down and write a movie or two for himself... The more screwed up the movie, the better, dude!

But who -- who in God's name -- will fill his shoes on SNL?
Really good Spider-Man movie thoughts and commentary at the Daily Bleat yesterday.

And no... I still haven't taken the film in yet. Or watched it yet. Either. I'm ashamed.

Back in the day, I used to love Spider-Man. Especially back when Todd McFarlane and Erik Larson were the artists. Yummy fun good times.

The Eric from 8th Grade would kick Current Eric's ass for not going to the movie on opening night... Only the Current Eric is much stronger and smarter than the Eric from 8th Grade, so Current Eric would probably kick the crap out of the Eric from 8th Grade. Then Current Eric would tell Eric from 8th Grade all about this crazy invention called the "Internet" that will someday allow him to make stacks upon stacks upon stacks of cold, hard, American dollars. Then we'd hug. Then the space-time continuum would explode and everyone would die.
This is strange for me.

I'm going to be without Lindsay for the first time in a long time, starting tomorrow night.

I don't even remember when the last time I had the entire house to myself was.

I don't particularly relish the fact that I will be all alone, either.

Things have been going really well between the two of us lately... Lots of great reminiscing, lots of love... all around good times.

I'm just kind of sad in anticipation of No Lindsay Thursday through Sunday.

I hope Iowa appreciates her, while she's in its grubby little clutches. Damn you Iowa. Damn you!

Thanks for reading,
Eric
