Can you believe it? I went canoeing. Yes. Me. City boy. The Urban Outfitted one. Why? Lindsay's sister and her family (husband and 2 boys) came up to visit and, since they're outdoors-y, Lins planned a little canoeing excursion at Wild Mountain in Taylor Falls, MN. Biting bugs aside, it was a good time -- really pretty river. The canoes aren't as stable as I'd have thought, but once we got going it was, ahem, smooth sailing. Now if I can only remember which side to paddle on to straighten out the canoe... Afterwards, we hit the absolute cutest drive-in restaurant in America. I had to get the root beer float. Home made root beer -- yum.
